Azobè wood species has exotic origins with a reddish-brown colour, commonly used for major marine and structural works thanks to its physical and mechanical properties.

The considerable strength and durability of this wood make it ideal for use in marine constructions exposed to wind and inclement weather that cause considerable stress (lock gates, fender barriers, clutch beams, piers and frames for docks, bridges and coverings for bridges, piles in general, barriers, mooring bollards and mooring posts, pilings for industrial ports, navigation signals in channels and lagoons).

An interesting feature of Azobè is its resistance to fire and combustion.
