The new product of the end of this summer by Ravaioli is Abodo, a laminated wood originated in New Zealand, obtained from the processing of Radiata Pine. Thanks to the most advanced technologies, a high-quality, elegant, versatile product is created, in the respect of environmental sustainability.
Abodo is treated with the processing called “Vulcan”, a heat treatment at 230°C that improves its physical characteristics. It confers Abodo a color with warmer brown tones and enhances its toasted-wood perfume. The subsequent gluing processing of the boards, instead, makes this material one without knots and with few and reduced cracking. This way, it acquires greater dimensional stability and compactness, along with a harmonic and elegant appearance characterized by continuous grain on the visible side. It is actually this grain that characterizes the two types of Abodo profile: one with sawn cutting effect with a more natural aspect, perfect for a modern and industrial style; or one with planed effect, emphasizing its ribbed grain and conferring it a more traditional and classic aspect. Abodo is guaranteed 15 years, is ideal to realize cladding of façades, sunshades and shading systems, attics and decorative architectural profiles, in general.
The Radiata Pine used to produce Abodo is cultivated in New Zealand forests, managed according to the criteria of the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®).
