At Ravenna’s Darsena the elevated walkway realized with materials by Ravaioli Legnami was inaugurated

Ravenna’s mayor Michele de Pascale and the Councilor responsible of Urban Planning Federica del Conte inaugurated the elevated walkway on the Candiano channel, which offers a new exclusive space to citizens and tourists, in a context of greenery and culture. The ceremony was attended by Elio Bagnari, president of Ravaioli Legnami, Angelo Bagnari, owner and export manager of the company, and Mirko Franceschelli, the general manager.
Ravaioli Legnami is proud to have supplied the materials for this highly awaited project, of great significance for the city, born out of the teamwork of the architecture studio Teprin Associati, Image s.r.l., the engineers Tommaso Pavani and Ivan Domenico Ceccaroni, the agronomist and landscaper Paolo Gueltrini, and realized by Deltambiente.
This sense of pride not only comes from the architectural and professional value of the redevelopment work implemented, but also and mostly from the emotional bond connecting our company to Ravenna.
The harbor is the beating heart of a seaside city, but for a century Ravenna’s Darsena was an area exclusively destined to the industrial use, closed to the inhabitants of the city who did not work there and, in the last years, abandoned to degradation. The redevelopment project the walkway belongs to, opens a door to the sea today, very close to the city center, offering the citizens new spaces to live, a meeting place for young people and families.
The walkway was made using a galvanized steel structure covered in Ipè wood and along the way there are benches, trees and decorative plants, a sort of living room enriched with lecterns where suggestions on the city are written which are signed by the great literature exponents, from Dante to Byron, from D’Annunzio to Montale, from Pasolini to Dario FO.
“We thank all the professionals involved, Deltambiente, Teprin Architecture studio, creator and designer of the intervention along with Image studio, which have contributed to re-design this body of water, finally bestowing upon the area a strong identity – stated Angelo Bagnari, owner and export manager of Ravaioli – I hope this will give the municipality much courage and incentive to promote other future projects”.
