Private Residence

Project details

  • Arch.: Andreotti Manuela
  • Material: installation with visible screws
  • Materials: Ipè
  • Location: Maggiore Lake

This elegant residential building, perfectly inserted in the environmental context in which it was built, is located in Trarego Viggiona (VB) a small village overlooking Lake Maggiore at an altitude of about 700-800 meters.

The terraces that surround the modern house have a breathtaking view of the lake and are made of Ipè deck boards, one of the most used wood species in the world of decking. It has been installed with visible screws to ensure the best stability and durability over time, very important for the particular climate of the area and for the context, characterized by a steep slope of the rock face against which the building is leaned .

The warmth of its bright and reddish colour, makes Ipè the perfect wood to get in complete harmony with the surrounding environment, to last over time and guarantee the particular magical appearance of the house.

The project also followed the protocol for the CasaClima certification, and passed very strict control tests, starting from the analysis of the drawings, to the checks during the execution stage and final tests.
